Midweek Meetup: Week of August 28th

Verse of the Day:  You did not choose me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.(John 15:16)

Jesus, I bear fruit that lasts when I put my hope in You only, stay steady in my faith, and love You and others without condition. May it be so for Your glory. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ It’s Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end of summer. Take time to worship Jesus to end this summer well.  Come in person on Sunday at 10 a.m. We’re giving the band a Sunday off and offering a traditional Presbyterian worship service with hymns and readings.  If you can’t make it, watch or listen online at https://www.youtube.com/@firstchurchoflajunta.  

Meeting Friends ~ A good meal. New and old friends together. Your faith as the reason you’ve gathered. This is Tables, our once-a-month small group ministry when we meet in each others’ homes to eat, pray, and discuss scripture.  Sign up in the narthex, and we’ll find you a group.  Beginning in October.

Sharing Hope ~ MomCo (formerly MOPS and MomsNext) shares hope with mothers of younger children.  They meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. here at the church, and all women are welcome.  See Aricka Hulsey for more info.
