In this election year and in election years to come, we make the commitment to rest upon these principles:

• I will trust God above all else, including governments and political platforms. (Exodus 20:3)
• I will always keep in mind that Jesus as my Sovereign. (Colossians 1:15-20)
• I will honor and submit to authority. (1 Peter 2:13-17)
• I will seek to hear a diversity of opinions and trustworthy information sources. (1 Corinthians 13:6)
• I will seek to recognize the virtue(s) in each person’s voting decisions. (Philippians 4:8)
• I will not encourage anyone to, nor will I myself, violate my conscience with my vote.  (1 Corinthians 8:4, 7-10)
• I will seek to act and speak in ways that give glory to God. (Romans 11:36)
