Verse of the Day~

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal, but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

Prayer~

Jesus, as I begin this journey of Lent and get ready to celebrate Your resurrection again, fix my heart. Help me to love the things you love and put away the things You despise. You are my treasure, as I pray in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ 

Lent is the season when we prepare our hearts to welcome the risen Christ by getting rid of those things in our lives that tempt us away from Jesus. We begin this Sunday, February 22, with help from C.S. Lewis' classic The Screwtape Letters. Ways to engage are: in worship, in Adult Formation class at 9 a.m., in private devotions, by reading the whole book, or all of the above. Books and devotionals are available from the display in the narthex.

Sharing Hope ~ 

We’re looking for a new Missions Coordinator. After years of faithful service to the church and community, Jeanne Brittain is stepping down. Duties include overseeing and coordinating the church family’s participation in local, nation, and international missions. Please see Pastor MJ if this is something God is calling you to do.
