Verse of the Day~

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. (Matthew 12:33, 35)

Prayer~

Jesus, I want to bear good fruit. Help me be a blessing. Find new ways and encourage me in old ways to share Your goodness and good news with the people I meet. In Your name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~

On this third Sunday in Advent at 10 a.m., we celebrate the gift of joy with readings from Luke 1 and Matthew 11. “EverGreen: Forever Joy ” will include music from our Women’s Trio, and you’ll get a sneak peek of the Christmas pageant too.

Meeting Friends ~

Invite your friends and family to Christmas Dinner on Sunday at 5 p.m. in the Life Center, followed by the True North Christmas Pageant at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary. The Fellowship Team is providing the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy & rolls. Please bring a side dish or dessert.

Sharing Hope ~

Our Christmas Joy offering this year buys a barnyard of noisy, healthy animals from World Renew and helps families with enough food, better nutrition, a stable income, and hope for tomorrow. Our goal is $2515, which buys 10 goats, 8 pigs, 4 piglets, 25 ducks, 15 rabbits, 50 chickens, and 5 roosters and farmer training in how to raise them. Drop your gift in the bucket at the front of the sanctuary, and add an animal to the “barnyard” until it’s full.
