Midweek Meetup: Week of October 2

Verse of the Day:     

“Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things are bound to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!” (Matthew 18:7).

Jesus, sin leads us away from You. Sin causes heartache. Guard us, Lord, from the temptations that lead us to turn away from You. In Your name, Amen.

First ~ A Celebration of Life for Karen Fishkin will happen this Friday, October 4, at 11am here at the church. Please keep her family in your prayers for comfort and courage. Jeanne Brittain is coordinating a lunch for the family, so please reach out to her with questions or contributions.

Meeting Jesus ~  Are you feeling called to  join the church, be baptized (yourself or your children), or renew your baptism?  You’re invited to meet with the church elders after worship this Sunday, October 6.We plan to receive new members and baptize as requested on October 13.

Meeting Friends ~ Our first ever MOMCo 5K Walk/Run is this Saturday, October 5, at 9am, from the church’s parking lot. It’s open to moms (and their friends) of all ages and stages, so please join us!

Sharing Hope ~  We’re headed back to Xpujil in the state of Campeche with Todd Luke and the Outreach Foundation, June 22-28, 2025, to build water cisterns. The cost is $750 per person, which includes lodging and food. We’d like to finalize plans by December 1, so please let Pastor MJ know if you are interested.
