Midweek Meetup: Week of November 21
Verse of the Day~
“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.” (Psalm 3:5)
Prayer~
Lord Jesus, as the days grow shorter and the cold settles in, as we face uncertainty, as we mend relationships damaged, as we work for the good of our neighbors, sustain us, as only You can. Let Your strength be ours. Amen.
Meeting Jesus ~ Our Sunday gathering this week, November 24, will be filled with chances to grow closer to Jesus. In worship, we’ll continue “Cultivating Community” with Pastor MJ’s message on service, with music “Celtic Laud,” from Dean Rees, and the dedication of our 2025 financial estimate of giving cards. We’ll gather after church for our annual Pie Social and stay afterwards to decorate the church for Advent and Christmas. Please join us for this very fun and worshipful Sunday morning.
Meeting Friends ~ Speaking of Sunday, don’t forget to return at 2 p.m. when we welcome soprano Tanya Perkins. She and Dean Rees have been rehearsing for weeks now to bring you selections for Thanksgiving and Advent. Invite your friends and family!
Sharing Hope ~ Angel Tree is our ministry to children of incarcerated parents. You choose a Christmas tag off the Christmas tree in the narthex, purchase the item requested, wrap it and return it to the church. The gift is delivered to the child on behalf of the parent with a message of God’s love. We have 14 tags remaining on the tree, so please stop and grab one this Sunday.
A special note on Advent and Christmas ~ Check out the church’s website for worship, small group, and private opportunities to grow closer to Jesus during the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Advent begins Sunday, December 1.
