Midweek Meetup: Week of October 9

Oct 9, 2024

Verse of the Day~

Return, faithless Israel,

declares the Lord.

I will not look on you in anger,

 for I am merciful,

declares the Lord;

I will not be angry forever. (Jeremiah 3:12)

Dear Jesus, I know that You are merciful and kind, but still I’m afraid to admit my faults and mistakes. Give me courage to come to You and wipe the slate clean. In Your name, I pray. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~  Due to some time conflicts, we have re-scheduled our Time of Baptism to Sunday, October 20. If you feel led to profess your faith in Christ and be baptized, or to have your children baptized, please contact Pastor MJ by the end of the week at pastor@firstchurchlajunta.org or text her at 719-469-7717.

Meeting Friends ~ We welcome our own Karl Ludwig on Saxophone at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, followed by a chili supper. Karl will be joined by fellow musician Clark Boettger from Grand Island, NE, and they’ll be accompanied by Dean Rees. A free will offering from the concert and dinner will support our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.

Sharing Hope ~  Pray for our nation.  The “31 Days of Prayer: 2024 Election Prayer Guide” is available online at https://firstchurchlajunta.org/faith-principles-during-the-election-year.

Finally, a friendly reminder to team leaders: Your requested 2025 budgets are due this Sunday, October 13.
