Midweek Meetup: Week of December 11
Verse of the Day~
[Jesus said of John] “This is the one about whom it is written:‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’” (Luke 7:27)
Prayer~
Jesus, You sent John ahead of You to prepare the way. Send us out too to share the good news that You are returning to redeem and restore the whole world. We rejoice in the promise that all the brokenness will be healed. Amen.
Meeting Jesus ~ Celebrate with us that “A King Is Born” in worship on Christmas Eve at 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. With music, readings, and prayer, we’ll give voice to the hope that is found in the manger throne. Bring friends and family to share the joy!
Meeting Friends ~ Our Christmas pageant “Unfrozen” happens this Sunday evening, beginning with Christmas dinner at 5 p.m. and the pageant at 6 p.m. We have 15+ kids from the church and community participating, so please be here to applaud them and welcome their families.
Sharing Hope ~ A HUGE thanks to all of you who shopped for this year’s Angel Tree gifts. Dozens of gifts are going out this week to children of an incarcerated parent (including a last minute family), bringing a dose of joy to stressed families. Kristen Elwood (with help from Steve) is delivering gifts soon, so get in touch with her ASAP if you have a late gift still to bring to us.
