The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is God of gods and Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery!” (Daniel 2:47)

Prayer~

Jesus, You are everyone’s Lord, even those who don’t recognize You.  Open all the world’s eyes to Your goodness, and help us live our lives so that others see You in us. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ Our annual Epiphany celebrations were pushed back a week by the cold and ice, so we celebrate this Sunday, January 12, with worship at 10 a.m., including the arrival of the 3 kings and a celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We’ll also celebrate the ordination and installation of Kristin Bickel as our newest elder.  Stay for brunch afterwards!

Meeting Friends ~ “Jesus Teaches Us to Pray” is the theme of our spring session of Junction Kids, Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:45 p.m., February 12 to April 9, (with March 19 off for Spring Break) for kids age 4 through 5th grade. Registration is open at www.firstchurchlajunta.org.

Sharing Hope ~  A warming shelter is open at Calvary Church for unhoused neighbors or neighbors without heat in their homes. The warming shelter needs 2 men and 2 women at all times through Friday. Could you spare a few hours?  Text Pastor MJ at 719-469-7717.
