Midweek Meetup: Week of February 19

Feb 19, 2025

Verse of the Day~

“Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar?

Did not your father have food and drink?

He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.

He defended the cause of the poor and needy,  and so all went well.

Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord.

(Jeremiah 22:15-16)

Prayer~

Jesus, I pray for leaders in my community and nation, for wisdom and discernment, for mercy and just decisions, for a saving faith in You. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ Our worship this Sunday, February 23, will be all about prayer, as we sum up and celebrate our winter worship series. Terry Miller will speak her testimony of God’s faithfulness through her daughter’s cancer treatment. Bring others for this special Sunday.

Meeting Friends ~

The Fellowship Team meets this Saturday for a workday from 9 a.m.-12 noon. It’s all part of making our building a welcoming space for the community. Come for a few minutes or all three hours. All help is appreciated.

Sharing Hope ~

We give thanks for faithful volunteers who are staffing yet another warming shelter this week while the weather is frigid. Volunteers house the homeless for the night and also counsel them about housing options going forward. Please keep the volunteers and the guests they welcome in your prayers.
