Midweek Meetup: Week of February 26

Verse of the Day~

“So watch yourselves.“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” (Luke 17:3-4)

Prayer~

Jesus, You command me to forgive. It’s a hard thing to do when people have hurt me. Teach me and strengthen me to forgive as You forgave me. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ The season of Lent begins next Wednesday, March 5, and we’ll be on a Journey to Jerusalem with Jesus. Find out more on our website (www.firstchurchlajunta.org). We prepare for the season this Sunday with our Service of Remembrance of Baptism followed by the Lord’s Supper. 

Meeting Friends ~ MomCo meets on the first Friday of every month at 6 p.m. We strongly encourage all moms of school-aged kids to come and be encouraged. Childcare provided. 

Sharing Hope ~ We’re excited to announce that this year’s Easter Offering will be received for David Mackey’s Messenger Internship in South Africa this summer through Grace Commons Church in Boulder. David will minister in a prison setting as well as an outreach for underprivileged mothers. The Easter Offering will be received on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
