Midweek Meetup: Week of May 29

Verse of the Day: 

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: Thus you shall bless the Israelites: You shall say to them:  ‘The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:22-26)

Loving God, we are blessed beyond measure. May we shine even a fraction of Your blessing on others today. We pray in Your Son’s name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ Our SCUBA Vacation Bible School’s Decorating Crew is in need of cardboard boxes (all shapes and sizes). They also need plastic bottle caps of all sizes. Please bring them to the church and leave them at the SCUBA display in the foyer.   

Meeting Friends ~ Just six days until our first Summer Book Club meeting. We’ll be discussing Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer. Read the book (you can find it on Amazon), then head to Pastor MJ’s house (912 Santa Fe in LJ) on June 4 at 7 p.m. 

Sharing Hope ~ We want to thank Kristen Elwood for taking on co-administration of the Deacons Fund with Melanie Jones. Our Deacons Fund assists families and individuals in the church and community in times of financial distress. Recently, we’ve assisted stranded travelers, an Otero student, and a local family.  Thank you all for your continued generosity to this fund.
