Midweek Meetup: Week of February 22

Verse of the Day: “God brought Abram outside and said, “Look toward heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” (Genesis 15:5)

God of hope, we stand in a cloud of witnesses, as descendants of Abraham by faith, and heirs to the promise of the risen Christ. Help us today to live with gratitude for those who have gone before us and shared their faith with us. Amen.

What’s new?

Meeting Jesus We welcome former long-time member and good friend Monica Johnson to preach and lead worship this Sunday morning, as our “7 Respectable Sins” series continues with the sin of selfishness, with special music from Dean Rees. Also, take a look at the paper banners hanging in the sanctuary. Our Junction Kids made the banners this week.

Meeting Friends Members of our youth group are headed to Winter Camp in Larkspur this weekend. Let’s keep Aaron, Abigail, Adalynn, Alan, Audrey, Christian, David, Ian, and Tyler, along with chaperones Aimee Hill and Jerry Chambers, in our prayers for a fun, faith-building, safe trip. Please note: There will be no regular youth fellowship on Sunday night.

Sharing Hope A huge thank you to everyone who contributed 200+ non-perishable food items and toiletries to our Souper Bowl collection. Your Missions Team is working to sort the items and get them delivered to Associated Charities and Hands of God ministries.
