Midweek Meetup: Week of May 23

Verse of the Day: 

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:1-2)

Jesus, You lifted the burden of my screw-ups and shame. My past can’t hold me back. Thank You. You are so good. Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ Jesus says, “Come follow me.” That’s what we’ll be doing all summer, with our worship series, “Summer on the Mount,” based on the Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7. (Note: Our first Book Club selection for June 4 is Practicing the Way, which goes right along with the series.)

Meeting Friends ~ We’ve had a steady presence of new guests on Sunday morning in worship. Please take a moment to seek out those new faces and introduce yourself. 

Sharing Hope ~ Our SCUBA Vacation Bible School happens July 21-25, and our goal is for 100% of the congregation to be invested in its success. Post a flyer, Share the event on Facebook. Donate supplies. Whatever. Above all, pray for the kids and families who will be touched by this ministry.
