Prayer
Jesus, We’ve grown cynical. We focus on the negative. Yet, You know all and see all. You know our hearts. You see every act of kindness around us. Give us eyes to see this same goodness in the world around us. In Your name, Amen.
Meeting Jesus
We’re excited to welcome elder-preachers Karen Gacnik and Marilyn Chambers this Sunday with their message, “Rabbit Holes,” about how the message of life in Christ is woven into the Old and New Testaments both. With readings from Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 and John 3:1-3, 16-21, along with special music from Kaydence Salazar.

Scrabble anyone? Grab your favorite people and come join us for all-church game night on Wednesday, September 16, 6:30-8:00. Finger foods are welcomed. Board games and a Yahtzee tournament promise to entertain you.
Sharing Hope
We have more information about our role in the 9/11 Day of Service. Our church’s youth group has been asked to clean up weeds and debris around flagpoles and surrounding areas in Fairview Cemetery. We’ll also clean nearby gravestones. They can use all the help they can get! We will gather to do the work on Saturday, September 5, at 8 a.m. This project is dedicated to veterans and law enforcement offers. Please sign up on Sunday or call the Church Office to let us know you’ll be coming.

Looking ahead
In November, Pastor MJ will travel to Turkey with a team from the Flourish Institute of Theology and the Outreach Foundation. They will tour the sites of the 7 churches whom John addressed in his opening chapters of the Book of Revelation. In preparation, she’ll teach the Adult Growth Class on Revelation 1-3 on Sunday mornings,beginning September 13. Please help her get ready for her trip by joining here for this study and lively discussion.
