Verse of the Day ~ 

And Jesus said to them, “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a dead calm. ~Matthew 8:26

Prayer ~

Jesus, everywhere I turn, there’s a problem to be solved or a mess to be cleaned up. I don’t have the strength or energy to do it. But You don’t ask me to accomplish anything by myself. Through You, I can move mountains. Through You, I can leap over walls. Be with me, Jesus. In Your name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~

Our worship series “Cross Reference” lets us discover Jesus in the pages of the Old Testament. Please join us this Sunday for Pastor MJ’s message, “Faith on the Struggle Bus,” from 1 Corinthians 15:1-11  

Meeting Friends ~ 

Everyone needs a DAWG! (a Day Away With God)! All women are invited to spend a day in solitude with God on Saturday, September 12, 2026, 8:45-4:00 pm. Cost of the day is $20, which includes materials, meals, and snacks. Click here to sign up!

Sharing Hope ~ 

It’s a great time to start collecting items for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. These shoeboxes are sent around the world to bless children with messages of God’s love. This time of year, consider picking up these items: pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, rulers, glue sticks, 3-hole notebooks (and filler paper), hairbrushes, hair ties, toothbrushes, toothbrush covers, toys (Dollar Tree is a great source), car or truck toys, balls, coloring books, puzzles, jump rope, games, dolls, and sunglasses. Bring them to the Donation Center at the far end of the Church Foyer.

We welcome Steve Mraz as our new janitor. Steve and his family live here in La Junta. He works for the City of Rocky Ford. With a wealth of janitorial experience, we are so grateful to add him to our Church Staff!
