Verse of the Day~

[Jesus said] “For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” (Luke 18:25-27)

Prayer~

Jesus, There are times in my life when the future seems hopeless. I don’t see any good options, and the road ahead is blocked in every direction. But then I remember that You are the Lord of the impossible. You pull rams out of the thicket. I trust you. In Your name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~

Is God calling you to baptism for yourself or your children? Are you sensing a desire to become a member of the church family? Our 3-week Cornerstone Class is for anyone interested in our church’s beliefs and practices, and it’s a first step to formally joining with the church. We meet from 11:15 am to 12 noon for September 14, 21, & 28.

Meeting Friends ~

Worship isn’t only for ourselves or even God. It’s for each other, too. That’s the message this week, Sunday, September 14, as our “Why Worship?” series continues. We’ll discover another eason why we worship, along with getting some better understanding of how we worship.

Sharing Hope ~

Our Dementia Friendly Families Support Group meets on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 2 p.m. Join them this Sunday if you have a family member or friend struggling with any type of dementia. Hope and encouragement are offered for all.

Beginning next week, in addition to this Midweek Meetup, you’ll begin receiving a monthly e-newsletter with extended news and announcements. We’ll also make paper copies available on Sunday morning for those who may not have easy internet access or would just prefer hard copies.
