December 1: Thank God for His faithfulness this year
Verse: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they
are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” – Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this year. Your mercies have
been present in good times and bad.
December 2: Thank God for family and loved ones.
Verse: “And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve,
whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the river, or the gods of the
Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve
the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for my family who have chosen
to love and serve You, bringing love, joy, and purpose to life. In good times and bad,
You have provided. Guide my family members who have not yet chosen You to see Your
goodness and mercy and begin serving you. Help our family to continue loving and
serving You.
December 3: Thank God for friendships.
Verse: “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, thank You for each of the friendships that You have brought to
encourage and strength me in my walk with You. Even in difficult moments, You have
been by my side.
December 4: Thank God for good health and the strength to persevere.
Verse: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my
heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.” – Psalm 28:7 (ESV),
Prayer: Father, I am so thankful for each day of good health. Even in my weak moments, You have given
me the strength to persevere through each heath challenge that has been presented.
Please help me continue to praise You in good times and bad.
December 5: Thank God for His provision over the last year.
Verse: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ
Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I am so grateful for the needs You have met this year. Sometimes I question You,
but, in truth, You have provided everything that I truly need.
December 6: Thank God for personal growth in the last year.
Verse: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know
that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” – James 1:2-3 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, thank You for both the challenges and the triumphs of the year. You have used each of
these opportunities to shape me and teach me to rely on Your strength and wisdom.
December 7: Thank God for His grace and mercy that renew us daily.
Verse: “For from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.” – John 1:16 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I am grateful for Your grace and mercy that have sustained me each day
of the last year. Without You, I could have drowned in anxiety and sorrow.
December 8: Pray for renewed hope in God’s promises for the future.
Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for
evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, parts of this year have been quite difficult. Renew my hope and help me trust in Your good and
perfect plans for the days ahead.
December 9: Pray for peace in your heart amid uncertainty or fear.
Verse: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which
surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” – Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, this year has had many difficulties. Please remove my anxieties and fill my heart with
Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
December 10: Pray for an open heart to receive God’s guidance.
Verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In
all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths” – Proverbs 3:5-6
(ESV).
Prayer: Heavenly Father, sometimes my will seems so far away from Your will.
Open my heart to trust and follow Your guidance in every aspect of my life.
December 11: Pray for courage and strength to follow God’s will.
Verse: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and
do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, Your will is sometimes quite scary. Grant me the courage and strength to
walk boldly in obedience.
December 12: Pray for restored relationships and unity in Christ.
Verse: “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from
you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as
God in Christ forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, there were a few friendships that had some difficulties this year. Help me to
desire restoration, both forgiving and seeking forgiveness.
December 13: Pray for a joyful spirit to serve others in love.
Verse: “Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!” – Psalm 100:2
(ESV).
Prayer: Lord, sometimes I feel lazy and just want to seek my own comfort.
Please fill me with joy and compassion as I serve others, reflecting Your love in all I do.
December 14: Pray for readiness to share the hope of Christ with others.
Verse: “But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a
defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with
gentleness and respect.” – 1 Peter 3:15 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, as I encounter those who do not know You, help me to be ready to share the
hope and joy of Christ. Help them to see Your love through me.

December 15: Pray for those who grieve to find comfort in God.
Verse: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, there are so many people who are hurting. Please surround those who
are grieving with Your peace and comfort, reminding them of Your abiding presence.
December 16: Pray for the lonely to experience community and love.
Verse: “God settles the solitary in a home; He leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the
rebellious dwell in a parched land.” – Psalm 68:6 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, many in our world seem to be more and more isolated and alone. Be near to the lonely and guide
them to meaningful connections and love in the community of Your church.
December 17: Pray for the sick and their caregivers: for healing strength.
Verse: “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my
praise.” – Jeremiah 17:14 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, many people I know are sick or aging. If it is your will, please bring healing to the sick
and renew the strength of their caregivers. Give each person hope and perseverance as they wait
to join You in their heavenly home.
December 18: Pray for peace in the world and an end to conflict.
Verse: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” – Matthew 5:9
(ESV).
Prayer: Father, we pray for peace in the world. May conflicts cease and Your
justice reign in every nation.
December 19: Pray for children to grow in love, safety, and wisdom.
Verse: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from
it.” – Proverbs 22:6 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, there are so many vulnerable children in our
world. Protect and nurture them. Guide them to grow in love, wisdom, and faith in You.
December 20: Pray for leaders to govern with justice and humility.
Verse: “It is an abomination for kings to do evil, for the throne is established by
righteousness.” – Proverbs 16:12 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, guide leaders to govern with justice, wisdom, and humility. Help them
to seek the good of all people.
December 21: Pray for those seeking God to find faith and salvation.
Verse: “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while he is near.” – Isaiah 55:6
(ESV).
Prayer: Father, draw those who are seeking You into the light of Your salvation.
Give them the hope of eternal life.
Dec. 22: Celebrate God’s love revealed through Jesus Christ.
Verse: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 (ESV).
Prayer: Father, Your love is
beyond what I can imagine. Thank You for sending Jesus to show us the depth of Your
love and the way to eternal life.
December 23: Celebrate the joy of unity in Christ, who is the Savior of all.
Verse: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and
female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” – Galatians 3:28 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I’m
grateful that in You, we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Teach me to live in harmony
with others, reflecting the unity You have given us in Christ.
December 24: Celebrate the birth of Jesus and His light in the world.
Verse: “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a
land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” – Isaiah 9:2 (ESV).
Prayer: Jesus, on this holy night, we remember how You stepped into our darkness to bring light and life.
Thank You for coming to be our Savior.
December 25: Celebrate God’s gift of salvation through Christ’s coming.
Verse: “Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!” – 2 Corinthians 9:15 (ESV).
Prayer: Your gift of Jesus is more than I could ever deserve or repay. I praise You today
for salvation, hope, and eternal life through Him.
December 26: Reflect on God’s work in your life in the past year.
Verse: “The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.” – Psalm 126:3 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I look back with gratitude at all You have done in my life this year, and I
give You praise.
December 27: Plan with faith and trust in God’s provision for the future.

Prayer: Father, I entrust my plans to You, knowing You will guide and provide for
every need.
December 28: Seek God’s forgiveness for past shortcomings and failings.
Verse: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness, trusting in Your mercy and cleansing grace.
December 29: Trust God’s timing and guidance in all that lies ahead.
Verse: “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under
heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV).
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust in Your perfect timing and guidance as I step into the future.
December 30: Thank God for lessons learned and strength gained.
Verse: “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces
endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope
does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the
