Verse of the Day: “They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me, and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.” (John 14:21)

Jesus, I can love You and the people around me because You first loved me. How can I begin to thank You for this gift?  Let my life be an offering of gratitude to You. We pray in Your name, Amen.

Meeting Jesus ~ O come let us adore Him this Sunday, May 5, as we gather for worship and communion in a mini-worship series on prayer and the adoration of God from John 15. With music from Sheila Gimeno.   

Meeting Friends ~ Join us for SCUBA! It’s our summer VBS program for kids pre-K through 5th Grade, and it happens July 21-25 from 6-8 p.m. At SCUBA, kids plunge into an undersea world brimming with colorful coral, flashy fish and abundant life. Immersed in oceans of fun, kids discover God is a real friend who loves them forever.  Registration is live on the website at www.firstchurchlajunta.org.

Sharing Hope ~ Several of you have expressed interest in traveling to Mexico in 2025 to help build water cisterns in Xpujil. We would love to get everyone together to think about timing. Let’s meet up after church on Sunday, May 19, to discuss our options.
