Mid Week Messenger March 14
5 Thing to Know This Week @ First Pres
Blessings to the many of you who will be travelling this week for Spring Break! But, for….
1 …the few, the proud, the folks still here
Join us these next two Sundays as we continue to celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit in our Alpha in Worship experiences. On Sunday, March 17, we’ll ask, “How and why should I read the Bible?” and, on March 24, “How can I be filled with the Holy Spirit?” With special music, “Where You Go, I’ll Go,” from Chris Ludwig and an as yet-to-be-determined offering from the Chancel Choir on March 24.
2 Bring your non-perishable food donations
We’re collecting for Associated Charities during this season of Lent. Drop your donations in the grocery cart in the Church Foyer. We’ll deliver the food to Calvary Church when we gather there for our community-wide Good Friday service on April 19.
3 Live It!
The kids (K-6th grade) in God’s House are starting a new unit, “Live It!” as they learn practical ways to live their faith in Jesus Christ. There’s no greater investment of time we can make than in our children’s faith in God.
4 God’s House events in April
God’s House opens their doors to friends and family in April for 3 very special events: a Block Party on April 7, with bouncy house and games for all a Petting Zoo on April 14, with a donkey in honor of Palm Sunday and, of course, our Easter Breakfast & Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 21 Bring friends and family!
5 A Night in St. Louis
Reserve your spot today for “A Night in St. Louis” dinner and trivia night in support of our CTW Youth Fellowship’s summer mission trip to St. Louis. On Sunday, March 31, with 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. seatings.
