5 Things to Know This Week @ First Pres

1 Alpha in Worship

Our “Alpha in Worship” experience begins this Sunday, February 10. We’re so excited for this opportunity to grow in our own faith as we share the grace and love of Jesus Christ with our community. How do you do that? By inviting those family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and teammates. Make your own commitment to being here as often as possible for the next 8 weeks. We know you won’t regret it.

Here’s how Sunday mornings will look through March 31: 9:30 a.m. “Alpha Cafe” a continental breakfast for all who arrive early for worship 10 a.m. Worship 10:20 a.m. Teaching Kids (prek-6th grade) depart for God’s House (finishing about 11:20) 10:45 a.m. Table discussions throughout the church for our adult participants, with a special group set aside for youth 7-12th grade

2 Welcome, Arah!

We’re so very excited to welcome Arah Minck as our new Children’s Evangelist. The Children’s Evangelist position is expanded from the old children’s ministry position, with new responsibilities for outreach to families and relationships with our local schools. Yea, Arah!

3 Diaper Day

Bring diapers (any size) this Sunday with you to worship to stock our Kids’ Closet for 2019. The Kids Closet blesses foster families with diapers and other supplies as infants and young children are being placed in foster care.

4 Ski Trip

Our middle and high school youth head out February 22-23 for a day of skiiing at Monarch. Prices vary, according to equipment and age, but lift tickets are very reasonable and scholarships are available. Packets available in the Church Foyer or at youth group on Wednesday (middle school) or Sunday (high school).

5 Thank you, Toni!

Toni Cook is our new Church Treasurer. Toni is well known in our church and throughout the community, and we’re so very grateful that God has called her to this ministry. As Church Treasurer, Toni will oversee the work of our Financial Secretary, Kathy Parker, and sign checks. Thank you, Toni!
