5+ Things to Know This Week @ First Pres

1 All Saints Sunday

This week, we celebrate All Saints Sunday, when we remember and read aloud the names of all the saints who’ve entered glory before us. If you can’t be here this Sunday but would like the names of loved ones included in the service, please just reply to this e-mail and we’ll be honored to include them. With communion and the Chancel Choir singing, “Cup of Sorrow.”

2 Spaghetti dinner success

Thanks to everyone who came out to support our youth missions program this past Friday. The youth raised just over $615. Wahoo! And thank you!

3 Give us your input

We sure hope you had the chance to meet Paul Borden and hear his prescriptions for our continued healthy growth. We welcomed him again just this Monday to answer any questions you might have had. The congregation will be invited to share your support for the prescriptions by way of a straw poll which will be taken on Sunday morning, November 11.

It’s time for another Friday Bible School this Friday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Register via the website FBS (Friday Bible School) or Facebook https://www.facebook.com/FridayBibleSchool/.

5 Operation Christmas Child: Join us after FBS

Join the FBS kids on Friday, after lunch at 12 noon, to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Stay as long as you like, though we do hope to finish by 2 p.m.

p.s. Parents & caregivers, please don’t forget that any kids who wish to have a speaking part in the Christmas pageant should remain after worship for try outs.

And finally, Happy Reformation Day!
