5 Things to Know This Week @ First Pres

1 Thank you!

A huge thanks to Dr. Paul Borden for sharing his wisdom and insights with us this past weekend during our Healthy Church consultation, as well as everyone who participated in the focus groups and one-on-one conversations. If you missed the consultation, copies of the report and recommendations have been mailed to your homes. Dr. Borden will return this Monday, October 29, for a follow-up Town Hall dinner and meeting. Please come if you have input or suggestions.

2 Gospel Mass

The Chancel Choir—with support from guest musicians—presents “Gospel Mass” by Robert Ray on Sunday, November 18, in worship. The “Gospel Mass” has been described as hip, traditional, spiritual, and surprising. There’s no other piece of music like it, so you don’t want to miss it. The price of admission? A friend. Bring someone you know who’ll be blessed to hear the message of Jesus again.

Our next Friday Bible School for kids K-6th grade happens on Friday, Nov. 2. We’re excited at the growth we’re already seeing in this new ministry! To register, go to the website Friday Bible School or visit the Facebook page @FridayBibleSchool.

4 Super Hero Christmas auditions

Try outs for speaking parts in the “Super Hero Christmas Pageant” will happen after worship on Sunday, November 4. If you’re interested, please plan on joining directors Katy Jones and Karen Gacnik.

5 Spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti

Support the youth and enjoy a tasty spaghetti dinner before the last Tigers’ home football game, this Friday, October 26, from 4-7 p.m. Suggested minimum donation of $5 for adults, $3 for kids. All money collected supports our summer missions work.
