Mid Week Messenger December 20th
5 Things to Know This Week @ First Pres
The big thing first
1 For God so loved the world… He sent us his Son Jesus Christ, and we celebrate that gift in worship on Sunday at 7 p.m. (no morning worship). Be a blessing by bringing others to this celebration of light and love.
And a few announcements
2 Angel Tree
Thanks to all who shopped and delivered gifts this year. All families received these gifts with much gratitude for the children of incarcerated parents. You showed God’s love hugely to these families.
3 A Surprising and Wonderful Christmas Pageant
Thanks to all the kids and adults who pitched in to make our annual Christmas pageant a reality. With just 3 weeks to prepare, you did a great job telling the greatest story of all.
4 Worship on New Year’s Eve
Our New Year’s Eve worship on December 31 will happen at 10 a.m. (a little extra time to sleep in). What better way to begin the new year than by praising Christ and re-commiting our lives to him?
5 Winter weather
With winter cold finally arriving, just a reminder that we will announce church closings via Facebook, e-mail, and radio whenever possible. Please take the time to check on neighbors and friends.
Epiphany worship and breakfast on January 7….”Thresholds of Faith” worship series kicking off January 14….”Finding Jesus in the Old Testament” class…”Jesus Awesome Power” unit in Sunday school…updates to come!________
